Elementary Counselor

Amy Ball

I am a 2003 graduate of Missouri State University- Springfield where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education. I immediately began working at Fairview Elementary and, later, earned a Master of Science in Elementary Counseling in 2012. I completed my School Psychological Examiner Certification in 2015.
As the counselor for preschool through 3rd grade students, I assist students in learning the academic, career, and social/emotional skills and attitudes necessary to be successful. Mrs. Wade and I work closely to help meet the needs of all students. I am also the District Testing Coordinator, as well as, the Homeless liaison and Migrant liaison. I recognize and value the importance of family involvement and communication between the school and home. Middle School Counselor

Brittney Capeder

In 2015, I graduated from Missouri State University with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Middle School Education. I started my career teaching 6-8th grade Communication Arts at Howell Valley. I taught there for five years while earning my Masters degree in School Counseling from Lindenwood University which I completed in 2019. In 2020, I took an opportunity to teach Family and Consumer Science at Willow Springs High School
(my husband's Alma Mater). I did that for two years and learned a lot of valuable knowledge about school CTE programs and how they can prepare students for their future. My third year at Willow Springs, I had the opportunity to use my counseling degree and become the District Resource Coordinator. I was able to work hand in hand with the Juvenile office, Howell County Attendance Task Force, Children's Division, BHC and many other community resources in order to help students be successful and overcome crisis situations. I am thrilled to be able to work with grades 4-8th as a school counselor at Fairview! I will be working on preparing students for high school and beyond.
